Mr. Billy Dean Stephens, 85, of Omega, died Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Danny Smith and Dr. Danny Ray officiating with the interment following in Omega City Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. - 1:45 P.M.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Stephens was born on January 30, 1934, to the late Gerald Clifford Stephens and Alnes Canady Stephens in Colquitt County. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Jean Daniels and his brother Earl Stephens.
Mr. Stephens was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a hard-working retired farmer who had lived in Omega all of his life. He loved being outdoors and providing for his family in which he did an excellent job. He loved his family dearly especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Janice Marie Warren of Omega, his children; Rodney and Tammy Stephens of Omega, Tim and Jenni Stephens of Ty Ty, Julie and Stan Patrick of Leesburg, Terry and Cindy Stephens of Scooterville and Jill and Bill Young of Leesburg, nine grandchildren; Parker Stephens, Elizabeth and Mark DiNatale, Jessica and Charles Story, Anna and Robert Smith, Will and Claire Stephens, Kent and Brooke Patrick, Chase and Julianna Patrick, Jaylan and Jeremy Sheffield, and Jade and Stone Phillips, eight great-grandchildren; Ella DiNatale, Shae Story, Peyton Story, Caroline Smith, Harper Smith, Olivia Smith, Auden Sheffield and Merrick Stephens, sister and brother-in-law; Geralene and Ed Hughes of Leesburg and many nieces and nephews.
