Carolyn Fletcher White

March 7, 1937 ~ November 11, 2018 (age 81)

Carolyn Fletcher White, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Wynfield Health and Rehab Center in Albany, Ga.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15th at Oakridge Cemetery with Dr. Michael F. Kennedy, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Oakridge cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. White was born March 7, 1937 in Tifton to the late William Allie Fletcher, Sr., and Clifford Amison Fletcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Carol White who died November 7, 2017; five brothers and three sisters. Mrs. White was a member of First Baptist Church of Tifton and graduate of Tifton High School. She was employed as officer manager at AT&T at the Albany, Georgia office. She was member of Daughters of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She loved researching genealogy and spending time with grandchildren. She was active at First Baptist Church working in the library as a volunteer and volunteering at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture & Historic Village as a docent.

Mrs. White is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Wendy Kennedy of Doerun; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Anwar Qaqish of Canton, Vivian Pollock of Leesburg; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth White, Dr. Michael Kennedy Jr., Zachary Kennedy, Michelle Barnes, Majda Qaqish, Alyse Qaqish, Chris Patterson; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild;  three brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill White of Albany, Herbert White of Houston, Texas, Franklin and Bobbie White of Shellman.
