In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Brannon and Larry Brannon and his sister, Mary Brannon.  David was a member of First Baptist Church of TyTy. He taught Senior Adult Sunday School for thirty-five years. After graduating high school from Broxton, Georgia, he joined the Navy, January 3, 1960 traveling the world during the Vietnam era.
