Allen "Al" Norman Griffin, Sr.

Mr. Allen “Al” Norman Griffin, Sr, 79, of Tifton passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Peter Oyenugba officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. A rosary will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 at 5:30 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors and the visitation will follow from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Allen Griffin, John Griffin, Bob Griffin, Bill Griffin, Jack Griffin, Luke Griffin, Luke Griffin, Matthew Griffin and James Griffin will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Griffin was born January 8, 1943 in Medford, Massachusetts as the only child to the late Allen C. Griffin and Catherine Ryan Griffin. He was a member of Our Divine Savior Catholic Church of Tifton. Mr. Griffin was retired from Eastman Kodak. He loved opera music, playing the piano and Elvis music along with many other types of music. Mr. Griffin loved his family and especially family time. He enjoyed spending time at the ocean listening to the waves.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Joan Bulger Griffin of Tifton; his children, Allen N. Griffin Jr., and Becky of Sand Springs, OK., John David Griffin and Jennifer of Atlanta, Ga., Bob Griffin and Rachel of Marietta, Ga., Bill Griffin and Krista of Tifton, Ga., Katie Drury and David of Waverly, Ga., Peggy Goddard and Clay Tolar of Tifton, Ga.; his grandchildren, Jack Griffin, Luke Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Meg Griffin, James Griffin, Kasey Griffin, Riley Griffin, Mary Drury, John Drury, Abby Goddard, Ally Goddard and C. J. Tolar.
