"Ann" Carolyn Ann (Thompson) Cromer

March 24, 1944 — July 30, 2016

Carolyn Ann “Mema” Thompson Cromer, 72, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M.,Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Layfield officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday, August 1, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Zach Cromer, Justin Roberson, Logan Blackmon, Carlos Trujillo, Mike Walker, and Greg Blackmon will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Cromer was born March 24, 1944 to the late C. A. “Boss” Thompson and Gussie Mioma Smith Thompson.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years Royce Earl Cromer of Sycamore.

Mrs. Cromer was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Chula.  She had coached various girl softball teams including the Tift Area Panthers. Alongside  her husband she worked on the family farm and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cromer loved her family and along with her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jana Cromer, Tifton, Sidney and Leslie Cromer, Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Missy and Greg Blackmon, Cantonment, Fla., and Teresa and Mike Walker, Tifton, two sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Beard, Sycamore, Brenda and Bobby Gay, Camilla, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Marie Thompson, Tifton, Charles and Glynis Thompson, Lakeland, Fla., Larry and Annette Thompson, Tifton, Steve and Betty Thompson, Pearson, and a sister-in-law Vetta Thompson, Orlando, Fla.

Her grandchildren are Justin Roberson (Brittany), Summer Cromer (Robbie), Lacey and Blake Jones, Brittney Cromer (Darren), Zach and Molly Cromer, Kaleigh Blackmon, Amber and Lawton Cooper, Abby Cromer, Marianne Walker, Logan Blackmon, Kendall Blackmon, and Raylee Walker.  Great grandchildren are Colton Jones, Perry Jones and Lexie Lane.

Mrs. Cromer was preceded in death by a brother David Thompson.
