Annie "Rhunelle" (Golden) Branch

Mrs. Rhunelle Golden Branch, 95, of Chula passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakridge Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Roe and Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 P.M. at the graveside before the service.

Sam Higgs, Tony Branch, Rob Higgs, Michael Henderson, Mike Lee and Jim Heinzman will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Branch was born March 8, 1926 in Worth County to the late Benjamin Augustus Golden, Sr., and Mattie Jo McCord Golden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Frances Branch who died March 16, 1994 and to whom she was married for fifty-two years at his death; her granddaughter, Tina Poppell; three brothers and one sister. After getting married Mrs. Branch moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1946 and lived there until 1992 when they moved back to Tifton and resided on the family farm. She was a homemaker and mother to her four children. In her spare time, she was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church for forty-six years. After returning to Tifton she was a member of First Baptist Church of Tifton and continued in her devotion of taking part in church activities.

Mrs. Branch was a much loved and honored wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and aunt to her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Branch is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Dave Mahn, Greer Williams and Nancy and Mike Henderson; her sons and daughters-in-law, Harry Anthony “Tony” and Shelia Branch and Samuel and Beth Higgs; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Along with her family, she is she is survived by her devoted neighbor DeeDee Green and her two caregivers, Denise Jones and Debbie Sandiford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Tifton or Senior Adult Choir at First Baptist Church of Tifton, 404 Love Avenue, Tifton, Ga. 31794.
