Anthony "Tony" Dillon Quinney

Anthony D. Quinney (Tony) passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, with his beloved wife of sixty years, Linda, and his daughter, Diane, by his side.

A Certified Public Accountant for more than fifty years, he took great pride in his profession and in the trust his clients placed in him. A private man by nature, he valued discretion and respected the privacy of those he served, carrying those principles throughout his professional life. He was a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

Despite significant heart problems, he continued to work, drive, and live life on his own terms for years beyond what many would have expected. He never seemed ready to slow down, and to those who knew him, it was hard to imagine a day when he wouldn’t be here.

He was a longtime member of the Sertoma Club in Tifton, Georgia, where he served on the board, and Tiftarea Sportsmen, where he also served on the board.

Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed the things that brought him the most happiness. He loved to read and was an avid fan of westerns, especially Gunsmoke, John Wayne movies, and the Cowboy Channel. He enjoyed deer hunting, although he often found more pleasure in climbing into a tree to watch the deer than in hunting them.

He also appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including banana pudding, graham crackers, and a good bowl of Brunswick stew.

In keeping with his wishes, no traditional funeral service will be held. Although he preferred no fuss, his family will gather with friends and loved ones for an informal gathering on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Home.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
