Barbara Ann Ellis Stone, born on March 2, 1946, in Nashville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence in Enigma, Georgia, on July 13, 2025. She was a beloved figure in her community and a cherished family member, known for her kind heart and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton, Georgia, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. in the chapel with Rev. Steve Davis and Rev. Mark Stone officiating. The interment will be held at Tift Memorial Gardens after the service.

Ethan Ethridge Ethan Fitzgerald, Garrett Wright, Clay Stone, Justin Stone, Haiden Gaines, Caleb Funderburk, Joshua Stone, Greg Stone, and Jason Gaines will serve as the pallbearers. Timbo Cooper, Colt Carne, Kade Keen and Chad Carne will serve as the honorary pallbearers.

Throughout her life, Barbara exemplified the virtues of hard work and kindness. She and her husband Ronald were self-employed, running Stone's Grocery, and she found fulfillment working in various beauty salons during her life. Additionally, Barbara had a talent for floral designing.

A proud graduate of Berrien County High School, she furthered her education by completing her training at Cosmetology School. This education not only provided her with the skills that would help her in her career but also showcased her commitment to personal growth. Barbara was admired by many, including her medical personnel, who often remarked on her gentle nature and sweet demeanor, earning her a reputation as one of the kindest patients they had encountered.

Barbara's faith played a significant role in her life. One of her most treasured memories was the moment she was saved at Mathis Chapel in Nashville during a revival. This experience deepened her spiritual journey, culminating in the baptism she shared with her husband Ronald at Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta.

She was not only devoted to her work and faith but also to her family, raising four children—Mark Stone and his wife Kristy, Mike Stone, and Mandy Gaines. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Stone, Leigha Wright, Abby Ethridge Kaylea Fitzgerald, Calab Funderburk, Makayla Carter, Paige Carter, Haiden Gaines, Colt Carne, Clay Stone, Jessi Wilson, Joshua Stone, Kade Keen, and Kyleigh Keen, along with her great grandchildren, Clayton Stone, Everly Stone, Silas Stone, Hudson Wilson, Casey Wilson, Ellie Ann Ethridge, Bennett Wright, and Lincoln Wright. Their lives will forever reflect her nurturing spirit and devotion to her family.

Sadly, Barbara was preceded in death by her son Ronald Scott Stone, her parents, William Earl Ellis and Grovie Solomon Ellis and her six sisters.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly at their cabin, which provided a serene escape where memories were made. Known for her beautiful yard, Barbara took pride in creating an inviting atmosphere, which was a reflection of her personality because she was always smiling and warm-hearted. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue through her children and the countless lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
