Gail Weaver Kirkland passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 23, 1951 in Polk County, Georgia.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the visitation which will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Albritton Funeral Directors. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Mr. Guy Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Tony Kirkland, III, Jackson Wakeland, Maxwell Wakeland, Eli Smith, Evan Smith, T. J. Oswalt will serve as pallbearers. Jan Caquelard and Sharon Benefield, her lifelong best friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Gail had a vibrant personality and was known for her spunk and assertiveness. She had a commanding presence and was always ready to take charge. Despite her confident demeanor, she had a kind and loving heart. She believed in the power of love and treated everyone with kindness and respect. To know Gail was to love her.  She was a Christian and a member of Tifton First Assembly of God.

Gail graduated from Tift County High School and later attended business secretarial school. During her successful career as a dedicated Administrative Assistant with Fastech Industries, she will be fondly remembered for her exceptional customer service skills and commitment to excellence.

She also pursued various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for cooking and was renowned as the best cook among her loved ones., and she also had a passion for native American history.
Gail cherished her family above all else. She held a special place in her heart for gospel music and adored spending time with her grandchildren, whom she considered the greatest blessings of her life. Her nurturing nature earned her the endearing title of "Mama” to many of her own, and “Nana" and “Aunt Gail” to many, many more.

Gail leaves behind a loving husband, Tony F. Kirkland Jr., who will forever cherish their memories together. She is also survived by her children, Tony "Lil Tony" Kirkland III and his wife, Brittany of TyTy; Kati Wakeland and the father of her children, Scott Wakeland of St. Simon's Island; Lisa Dailey of Brunswick; Ginger McCorkel of Hummelstown, PA.; Patricia Pack of Tifton; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Lynn Crawley and her husband Jimmy, and Ellen Fritz of Thomson, along with her two fur babies.

Her passing is mourned by both family members and friends alike. Gail was predeceased by her father, Lowell Edward Weaver; her mother, Betty Copeland Weaver; her son, Ronnie Ray; and her brother, Larry Weaver, along with her brother-in-law, Ron Fritz.

Gail Kirkland's vibrant spirit and remarkable contributions will forever be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and excellence that will continue to inspire all who remember her. May she rest in peace.
