Bill Denny

Bill Denny, 76, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18th in Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Earl Perry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home before the service at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Lamb, Zach Taylor, Michael Denny, Casey Denny, Chris Costigan and William Summerlin.

Mr. Denny was born July 15, 1941 in Rayburn County to the late Parker Denny and Nancy Webb Denny. He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Darrell Cothren, five sisters and one brother. Mr. Denny was married to Betty Summerlin Denny for forty-two years. He retired from General Motors after twenty-seven years and had lived in Tifton for the past fifty years. Mr. Denny was a family man who loved bowling, fishing, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons football.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Paula Cothren of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Ira Parker and Lori Denny of Tifton; four grandchildren, Brad and Terri Billings, Michael Denny, Casey Denny and Kayla Denny; three great grandchildren, Parker Lance Denny, Dalton Billings and Dixon Billings; one sister and brother-in-law, Scarlett and Edward Woods of Statesboro.
