Bobby Eugene Dean, 80, of Chula passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 25 at 3:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Worth County with the Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. No formal visitation will be held.

Mr. Dean was born November 14, 1937 in Ben Hill County to the late Henry Fletcher Dean, Sr., and Sara Louise Benton Dean. He was preceded in death by his wife Velma Jo Robinson Dean who died October 6, 2015; one son, Chadwick Dean; one sister, Ianthia “Pete” Roberts; three brothers, Vernon Dean, Jackie Dean and Ralph Dean. Mr. Dean was a veteran of United States Army and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed farming and trucking. He was an auxiliary police officer for Tifton Police Department and was proud of his military career. Mr. Dean loved his family.

Mr. Dean is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Antoinette Dean of Chula and Louise and Jimmy Wicware of Lenox; four sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Dean of Ray City, Bobby Dean, Jr., and Natalie of Midland, Stanley Dean of Omega and Lonnie Nelson and Linda Dean of Nashville; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Lannie and Barbara Dean of Ocilla, Horace Dean of Tifton, Henry Dean, Jr., and Joyce of Tucson, Arizona.
