Bonnie (Lovett) Chestnut

Mrs. Bonnie Lovett Chestnut, 70, of Tifton passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Chestnut was born July 11, 1948 in Tift County to the late Carl Tyson Lovett and Mary Gladys Sumner Lovett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty- two years, Barney Willis, and her second husband, Ellis Chestnut; one son Brian Hendricks Willis; one sister, Helen Sumner; three brothers, Hubert Lovett, Riley Lovett and Charles Lovett. Mrs. Chestnut was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and owner of O’Boni’s Beauty Salon. She had lived in Tift and Lee counties during her life. She was a hairdresser for over forty years and truly loved her work. She enjoyed traveling and loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. While living in Lee County, she worked for Che Haw Park for a number of years. She was an instructor of cosmetology at Moultrie Technical School.

Mrs. Chestnut is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harrell and Mary Willis of Tifton; two grandchildren, Kerri Joyner, Jason and Deaven Willis; five great grandchildren, Kiley and Whitley Joyner, Bryce Willis, Isaiah Wheeler and Josie Condrey; one sister, Sue Ann Bryant of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry Carl and Gloria Lovett of Melbourne, Florida.
