Bonnie Marie Johnson

Mrs. Bonnie Marie Townsend Johnson, 60, of Omega, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Chris House officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. before the service at the funeral home.

Dylan Fincher, Denver Fincher, Edward Walker, Joseph Johnson and Nathan Davis will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 12, 1962 in Worth County to the late Roy Alvin Townsend and Vivian Helen Johnson Lindsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patty Townsend and her brother, Dusty Townsend. She was a member of Omega Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson was a 1980 graduate of Worth County High School and attended ABAC. She was a bus driver for Worth County Board of Education and owner and operator of her semi-truck. She enjoyed driving the bus and she always maintained a good relationship with the children on her bus. Mrs. Johnson loved spending time with her grandchildren and her animals especially her dog “Puppy”. Her goal was to make it to September to see her first great grandchild who was born September 2, 2023. After she had finished her chemo and radiation, she drove to Nebraska to see her great grandbaby.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Claude Johnson of Omega; her children, Jessica and Bart Walker of Omega and Matthew and Keri Fincher of Leesburg; her grandchildren, Chancey Sanders and Nathan Davis, Edward Riley Walker, Dylan Fincher, Denver Fincher and Karlee Fincher; one great grandchild, Jaxson Davis.
