Bryan Justin Thomas

Dec 5, 1975 — Oct 22, 2026

Valdosta, Georgia

Bryan Justin Thomas, 50, passed away on October 22, 2026. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Born in East Point, Georgia, on December 5, 1975, Bryan was the son of Billy and Karen Thomas. He was the grandson of the late Robert and Ruth Grist of Chula and Henry and Myrtle Johnson of Fairburn, Georgia.

Bryan grew up on the family farm, where some of his fondest childhood memories were made alongside his three younger sisters. From riding go-karts through freshly irrigated, muddy fields to jumping from the hayloft onto a trampoline, there was never a shortage of adventure or laughter.

A graduate of Tift County High School, Bryan played trumpet in the marching band.

Bryan had a lifelong appreciation for animals, nature, and especially the ocean. His favorite movie was Jaws, and Shark Week was an annual event he never wanted to miss. He had a remarkable talent for finding shark teeth along the shore, a pastime that reflected his curiosity and love for the sea.

Bryan loved the Lord and shared a special moment of faith with his parents when the three were baptized together at Northside Baptist Church in Tifton.

Bryan spent many years working alongside his Dad and Papow at Georgia Vegetable Company. Beginning as a truck loader, he learned the family business from the ground up and eventually worked his way into the position of Sales Manager.

His love for cooking began at an early age, when he eagerly helped in the kitchen. Over the years, that interest grew into a genuine talent, and Bryan became a wonderful cook. Family gatherings often found him in the kitchen, where he was always among the first to volunteer to help and, true to form, the first to fix a to go plate!

Above all, Bryan loved his family. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend who cherished the people in his life, especially his two daughters, Heidi and Chloe.

In addition to his parents, Billy and Karen Thomas of Sycamore, Bryan is survived by his daughters, Heidi Thomas and Chloe Thomas, both of Jesup, Georgia; his three sisters and brother-in-law, Lyndsey Thomas Stribling of Milledgeville, Georgia, Lauren Thomas Fountain and her husband, Corey, of Clinton, South Carolina, and Lasey Thomas of Tifton, Georgia; along with many nieces and nephews.

Bryan will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for life's simple pleasures, and the many memories he leaves with those who knew and loved him.
