Carlton Bruce Copeland

Carlton Bruce Copeland, 67, of Tifton passed away August 6, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. A eulogy will be given by Chris Miller.  Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Daniel Copeland, Monty Copeland, Steve Williford, Randy Hogan, Ricky Tawzer, Justin Wood, Kevin Donald and Larry Weaver will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Copeland was born on March 29, 1950 in Tift County to the late E.L. and Vera Daniels Copeland. He had lived all of his life in Tifton and was married to Elizabeth Miller for 30 years. Mr. Copeland was a farmer by trade and loved the farming life and being with other farmers. He was a true outdoorsman who loved the simple life and fishing.  Mr. Copeland was very devoted to his grandchildren and enjoyed taking them on rides around the farm and to the store for candy. He was also devoted to his late parents.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Copeland is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Cory and Teddie Miller of Tifton and Chris and Becky Miller of Hahira; eight grandchildren; one sister, Ann Ennis of TyTy; one brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Diane Copeland of Tifton; one brother-in-law, Wendell Hobbs of Tifton; two sisters-in-law, Ginger Copeland of Griffin and Sandra Copeland of Tifton and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Scarborough, Ruth Hobbs and Margaret Denby and two brothers, Lloyd Copeland and Earl Copeland.
