Carmen Castillo Gomez

Ms. Carmen Castillo Gomez, 53, of Tifton passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Iglesia De Dios Pentecoste's in Tifton with Rev. Solomon Perez officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Ms. Gomez was born July 16, 1967 in El Higo Veracruz, Mexico to the late Teodomiro Castillo and Victoria Gomez Castillo. She was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecoste’s in Tifton and a homemaker. Ms. Gomez had lived in Tifton for twenty-nine years.  She loved her family and her happiest times were being together with them. Ms. Gomez was a lady of faith, very active in her church. She enjoyed growing flowers and was an excellent cook. Miss Carmen enjoyed photography and making pictures of family events. She was an excellent homemaker and kept her home immaculate. She loved listening to Christian music and going out to eat. Ms. Gomez was a humble woman and taught her family honesty.

Ms. Gomez is survived by five daughters, Daisy Duarte, Carmen Duarte, Janet Duarte, Gabriela Castillo and Kayla Victoria Castillo; four sons, Samuel (Petra) Duarte, Jaime Duarte, Freddy (Claudia) Duarte and Raul Castillo; thirteen grandchildren; six sisters and three brothers.
