Catherine Ann Driggers O'Quinn, known affectionately as Ann, passed away on November 1, 2023, in Tifton.
Visitation services to honor Ann's life will be held at Albritton Funeral Directors on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ronnie Howell and Rev. Roger Mays officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mitchell Weldon, Donnie Gilder, Wille Weldon, Charles Cleary, Danny Merritt and Shane Chitwood will serve as pallbearers.
She was born on December 1, 1936, in Tift County and she was a proud graduate of Tifton High School's Class of 1957.
Ann's professional career spanned numerous years in the Fabric and Craft Department of various stores until her retirement. She took great joy in helping people put together outfits and was passionate about sewing. Her dedication to her work and commitment to serving the public earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and customers alike.
Known for her warm and loving personality, Ann approached every interaction with kindness and compassion. She had a genuine love for people and embraced every opportunity to lend a helping hand. Alongside her passion for sewing, Ann enjoyed cooking, but above all else, she treasured spending time with her family. The love she shared with them was immeasurable.
Ann took great pride in being a member of Mt. Calvary Methodist Church. Her faith guided her throughout her life, providing strength during difficult times and enabling her to spread love to those around her.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Edgar Driggers and Edna Lucille Ray Driggers, as well as by her cherished husband Eugene “Gene” O'Quinn Sr., who passed away on March 13, 2004 , along with her brothers: Clarence E. "Buddy" Driggers Jr. and Ray Driggers and her sister Mary Frances Turner.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ricky Benson, and her son Quinn O'Quinn, all of Tifton. Additionally, she will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Ben Benson (Beth), and Marie Morris.
Ann O'Quinn's presence and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many. Her dedication to her family, church, and community serve as an inspiration for all who knew her. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the memories of a truly remarkable individual. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
