The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. before the service on Friday morning at the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors.

He could have no greater honor than for his nephews to serve as pallbearers. The “Post Office Boys” and Beacon Sunday School Class with Edwin and Wyolene Walker will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Hutchinson was born August 02, 1930, at his grandparents’ home in Worth County Georgia to the late James Milton and Ora Dovie Davis Hutchinson of Omega. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters in law Chesley Lightfoot, Bobby Taylor, Gene Taylor, Anna and Bobby Powell and Gail Childers; nieces and nephews, Laura Moose, Rowland and Diane Giddens and Walt Plemons.

He was married to his beloved Omie Lee Taylor Hutchinson on May 11, 1952, whom he has missed dearly, since her death on November 4, 2015.  Together Cecil and Omie Lee lived each day for their Lord, their family and each other.

Cecil is survived by his son, Cecil Warren (Bud) Hutchinson, Jr. and wife Sandy; his daughter, Sherry Lee Hutchinson Waldrop and husband William. Cecil and Omie Lee accepted Sandy and William, as their own and were proud of what the four of them accomplished. He is also survived by his sister, Genett Hutchinson Lightfoot of Tallahassee and his brother and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Anita Taylor, Martha Taylor, Clara Taylor and Richard Childers; his grandchildren, Cynthia Lee Waldrop Williamson and Her husband Shane of Cumming, their children Jessica Lee, Michael Gage and Taylor Brooke Williamson, Shawna Rae Hutchinson Donald of Tifton, her children, Tyler Champion and Ryan Chance Donald, William Grant Waldrop and his wife Kimberly of Temple, their children, Bryce William, Riley Mason and Jayde Trinity Waldrop, Matthew Quentin Waldrop of Louisville, KY, Heather Erin Hutchinson Irvin and Her husband Richard of Columbus, their children, Aaron Bailey and Addison June Irvin, and Erica Vann Hutchinson Bayne and her husband Corey of Churchton MD, their children, Katie Elizabeth, Cecil Warren and Doris Evelyn Bayne; his nieces and nephews, Gwen Lightfoot, Craig (Mary Beth) Lightfoot, Jeff (Vickie) Lightfoot, Patricia Childers (Will) Hope, Cindy Taylor (Tim) Wetherington, Alicia Taylor Plemons, Steve Keith, Tony (Tanya) Taylor, Michael (Kitty) Taylor, Shawn (Erin) Taylor and Jeremy Little.

As a faithful member of Tifton First United Methodist Church and the Beacon Class, Cecil enjoyed worshiping his Lord at church, with Club 55, as well as with all who he was around. No one ever met him that he didn’t offer a helping hand with a smile on his face.  At her death, Cecil made a vow to Omie Lee to read through the Bible, in her memory, before May 11 or their 64th anniversary. He only lacked 45 pages this past Sunday.

Cecil was proud of the fact that he was a US Mail Star Route Contractor, taking the mail from Post office to Post office for fifty seven years.  He enjoyed all the people he met at each Post office and continued that friendship during his retirement. He held several offices including President of the Georgia Star Route Association.

Cecil supported Omie Lee while she worked for Woodmen of the World. He would go to most of her appointments, playing with the children, while she worked. They had a true working partnership. Being a member of Woodmen for over 40 years Cecil belonged to the Tifton Chapter 144 and the Sylvester Chapter 172 where he held offices in both locations including President, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Trustees for the GA Branch of Woodmen, a national representative, and “Mr. Woodmen” on more than one occasion.

Along with Omie Lee, Bud and Sherry formed Hutchinson Moving and Storage in 1985 which Bud continues to own today, Cecil and Omie Lee enjoyed traveling while looking for antiques to restore. Spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will leave beautiful memories of love for their support.

The family will accept flowers but would appreciate donations to the Building Fund of First United Methodist Church, 107 12th Street West, Tifton, Georgia 31794, the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284, or your favorite charity. They would like to thank Brother Benjy Varnell, Holly Hall, Barbara Boggs and others for their faithful visits. They also appreciate Maple Court for their support of Cecil during Omie Lee’s sickness and during the time they called Maple Court home.
