Charles L Marshall

Charles L. Marshall, 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3:00p.m. in First Baptist Church of TyTy with Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of TyTy cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m.

Chris Sauser, Chris Moore, Michael Moore, David Frederick, Johnny Pate and Garrett Riden will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Marshall was born on July 1, 1933 in Worth County, Ga to the late William Pierce Marshall and Hazel Shiver Marshall.  He was preceded in death his wife Clara Louise Denham Marshall who died on February 22, 2015. He attended First Baptist Church of TyTy and had lived in Tift County all of his life. He loved gardening, growing sugar cane for syrup making, woodworking, woodturning and was a beekeeper.

Mr. Marshall is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Ken Hall of Shingler, Ga, Charlene and Chris Sauser of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, Cayla and Garrett Riden, Edwin Hall and Clayton Sauser; two great grandchildren, Peyton Riden and Kensley Riden; one brother, Dennis Marshall of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Mike Moorman of Leesburg, Ga.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
