Charles William "Chuck" Nichols

Charles William “Chuck” Nichols, 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors. Interment will be private at a later date.

Mr. Nichols was born July 20, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to the late Charles Leroy Nichols and Hazel Fern McMullen. He was married to Joni Johnston Nichols formerly of Fitzgerald for twenty-eight years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Mr. Nichols was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Shaw Industries as a mechanic. He moved to Tifton in 1980 from Michigan. He was the mayor and the park attendant of Talking Rock Creek Resort in Chatsworth, Georgia. Mr. Nichols loved his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and boating.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Nichols is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bobbie Rundenia of Dundee, Michigan, Chryssi and Roy Harper of Tifton, Char and Michael Wise of Tifton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Nichols of Sale Creek, Tennessee, Dale and Lisa Nichols of Lenoir City, Tennessee, Al and Jennifer Horton of Tifton; eight grandchildren, Jacee Harper, Jade Harper, Matthew Wise, Luke Wise, Tanner Wise, Shelbi Dee Wise, James Gills and Emma Horton; his brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Edwina Nichols of Maryville, Tennessee.
