Chlouis W. Allen entered into the presence of her Lord, at her home, on February 5th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Known for her exceptional sense of humor, she brought joy and laughter to those around her and will be deeply missed. Chlouis was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord wholeheartedly.

A private graveside service will be held at Oakridge Cemetery, officiated by Pastor David Akins of Nashville, Georgia.

Chlouis was preceded in death by her husband, I. J. Allen, Sr., and her granddaughter, Christi Allen.

Born on October 22, 1929 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, she was the daughter of Thomas James & Emmaline (Annie) King Williams and Stepdaughter of Adelicia Williams.

She is survived by her 4 children: Bubba (Agnes) Allen of Enigma, Georgia, Susan (Michael) Anderson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Steve Allen of Tifton, Georgia, and Patricia (Pat) Allen of Tifton, Ga.

She is also survived by her brother, Floyd Williams (Brenda) of Brisbane, Australia.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Brian York (Mandy), Heather Akins (Fiancé Nate Palmer), Dawn Hall (Brian), Angela Saunders (Greg), Andrew Turner (Amy), Kenny Allen (Christi), 14 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her personal aide, Ginger York Marchant, and to the Palliative Care & Hospice nurses for the compassion, care, and kindness they showed our mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
