Clifton Edsel Davis, 79, born on December 28, 1945, in Berrien County, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, on September 1, 2025. He was a beloved member of his community and a dedicated family man, who touched the lives of many during his time with us.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors before the service at the cemetery.

Clifton had a fulfilling career, retiring from Tifton Aluminum, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His contributions to the company were appreciated by both colleagues and management alike, reflecting his integrity and dedication to his craft.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Greene Davis, with whom he shared fifty-five years of marriage. Together they created a nurturing and loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and fond memories. Clifton was a proud father to his daughters, Lisa and Bryan Alexander and Melissa and Joseph Hardy, both of Tifton, as well as to his son, Clifton E. Davis, Jr. and special friend, Amy Scott Cagle of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia. The depth of his love extended to his grandchildren: Caelan Cooper and his wife, Candace, of Sardis, GA; Brandon Cooper and his wife, Brianna, of Adel, GA; Deven Davis of Tifton; Aaron Davis and Rosemary Davis of Sautee; Amelia Davis of Tifton; and Madison Davis of Sautee. Clifton was also blessed with four great-grandsons: Jaycee and Sylas Cooper of Sardis, GA, and Rhett and Greyson Cooper of Adel, GA.

In addition to his immediate family, Clifton leaves behind his brother, Farrell Davis and his wife, Cathy of Tifton, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Debbie Greene, Russell Greene, and Sue Baugham, all of Tifton. The bonds of family were of utmost importance to him, and he cherished the relationships he built throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Webster Davis; his mother, Era Bell McLellan Davis; his nephew, Justin Davis; his mother-in-law, Arlene Greene; his father-in-law, M. L. Greene, Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Karen Greene. Each of these individuals held a special place in Clifton's heart, and he will be remembered fondly for the love and joy he brought into their lives.

Clifton Edsel Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, respect, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him. His spirit will continue to inspire those he loved, and he will be deeply missed.

The family will be gathering at 1811 Marion Drive, Tifton, Georgia, 31794 just off 319 North.
