Cynthia leaves behind an enduring legacy through her cherished family. She is survived by her devoted husband of forty-three years, Paul Mills, their loving children, Renee Mills Hogan and her husband Jonathan, Anna Mills Valentine and her husband Robert, and her son, James Charlie Mills, II. With a heart as expansive as her talents, she was an adoring grandmother to Caleb Kicklighter, William Maddox Alligood, Piper Mills, and the step-grandchildren Matthew Hogan and Holly Hogan, in addition to her step great-granddaughter, Harper Hogan.
Cynthia was the epitome of a faithful Christian woman, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. A skilled pianist, she graced the congregation at Alapaha Church of God for many years, sharing her musical gifts and her heartfelt compositions with those fortunate enough to hear her play. Cynthia's creativity extended beyond music; she was a talented painter and an accomplished craftswoman, often dedicating her time to creating beautiful works that reflected her deep love for her family.
Cynthia was warm-hearted, embodying a servant's spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word to those in need. She held her family close to her heart, and her love encompassed not only her children but extended gracefully to her siblings—her brother John Smith and his wife Allison, her sister Lynette Smith, and her sister Karen Webb and her husband Olan.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, J.W. Smith and Jeanette N. Smith, who provided her with a foundation of love and faith that she would carry throughout her life.
We will remember Cynthia in every note she played, every song she wrote, and every act of kindness she bestowed.
