Daniel Carlton Royal, Jr.

Daniel “Dan” Carlton Royal, Jr., of Tifton passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. in chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill cemetery in Ashburn. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday the 26th prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pete Peebles, Furman Peebles, Allen Whitehead, Timmy Rowe, Rod Griffin and Brad Peebles will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Royal was born October 23, 1943 in Sumter County to the late Daniel C. Royal, Sr., and Sarah Peebles Royal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Royal. Mr. Royal was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tifton and owner of Royal Pharmacy for forty-nine years. He graduated from Turner County High School and University of Georgia and was a licensed pharmacist. He was an avid Georgia football fan and he was a member of The Springhill Country Club. He had farming interests in Turner and Wilcox Counties and loved the land.

Mr. Royal is survived by Knoxene Royal, his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tony Rowe of Tifton; his step son and his wife, Trey and Jennifer Butterfield of Evans, Georgia; two granddaughters, Katy and Emily Rowe.
