His childhood antics left a lasting impression on his family, reminding them of the joy of laughter shared among siblings.

David was a devoted family man, cherished by his wife, Michelle Barfield, and his four children: Angel, Michael, Josh, and Ryan. His love for them was unwavering, and he took great pride in being an active and supportive figure in their lives. The bonds he created with each of them are a testament to his character and dedication as a father and husband.

He is survived by his father, Robert Barfield; his brother, Robert Barfield, Jr.; and his sisters, Teresa Barfield and Sherri Sumner, and 12 grandchildren Together, they will carry forward the cherished memories of David, holding onto the lessons he taught through love, laughter, and perseverance in the face of life's challenges.

David’s enthusiasm extended beyond his professional life; he enjoyed Mudd bogging, a pursuit that allowed him to embrace adventure and excitement, further exemplifying his zest for life.
