Donald "Don" Gene Bowers, Jr., a talented graphic artist and beloved family member, passed away on January 10, 2026, at his brother's residence in Tifton, Georgia. He was born on September 26, 1956, in Hialeah, Florida, to Donald Gene Bowers, Sr. and Billie Ann Grantham Bowers, both of whom predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral directors with Mr. James Montgomery officiating and Mr. Mitch Hickman delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
John Bowers, Jamie Bowers, Mitch Hickman, Billy Reeves, James Montgomery and Mark Achberger will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the past and present staff of Montgomery Printing.
For thirty-five plus years, Don dedicated himself to his craft as a graphic artist at Montgomery Printing, where his exceptional skills and keen eye for detail made a significant impact. Known for his perfectionist tendencies, he poured his heart into every project, ensuring that his work met the highest standards.
Outside of his professional life, Don was a man of diverse interests and hobbies. He enjoyed drone photography, woodworking, and motorcycle rebuilding, showcasing his creativity and hands-on abilities. Additionally, he built remote control boats and loved drawing, demonstrating his multifaceted talents. His passion for creativity and innovation shone brightly in everything he undertook.
Don is survived by his loving children, LeAnna Hickman and her husband Mitch, Kelley McKeever as well as his sons Jamie Bowers and Joey McKeever, and his only grandchild, Lauren Hickman. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, John and Jennifer Bowers, and his special friend of over forty years, Beth McKeever.
Don will be remembered for his creative spirit, his dedication to his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
