Dorothy "Dottie" Faye (Barton) Esco

Dorothy Faye ("Dottie") Barton Esco, 73, of Tifton, died Friday, March 18, 2016, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 25, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with the Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Deacons of First Baptist Church of Ty Ty will serve as pallbearers.

Ms. Esco was born December 16, 1942, in Gordon to Frank Barton and Mary Ann Sanders Barton, both of whom preceded her in death.

A graduate of A. L.Miller High School in Macon, Ms. Esco  retired from the Department of Family and Children Services in Tifton.  She loved to travel with her special friends and to work in her yards.  She especially loved being a mother and grandmother.  As a member of First Baptist Church of Ty Ty, she was very active in the church, being a member of "The" Sunday school class and working with the bereavement group.

Ms. Esco is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Chris Esco of Chula, Jimmy and Carmella Churchwell of Atlanta, Wes and Becky Esco of Tifton, and Brian Esco of Ft. Myers, Fla.; three granddaughters, Kyla Hayden, Taylor Churchwell, and Grace Marie Esco; and two grandsons, Cole Esco and Cameron Esco; and her lifelong friend, Sarah Beddingfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ty Ty, P. O. Box 157, Ty Ty, GA 31795.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
