Duane "Butch" Edward Holmes, Jr.

Mr. Duane "Butch" Edward  Holmes, Jr., 67, passed away on Tuesday, September, 18, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in Andersonville National Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Holmes was born December 13, 1950 in Rantoul, Illinois to the late Duane Edward Holmes, Sr., and Sally Bell Holmes. He was married to Nedra Louise O’Donnell Holmes for thirty-three years. Mr. Holmes was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam war. He served his country honorably. He was an engineering tech for Maintenance Center Barstow for twenty-five years. He was a great Father, Grandfather and Friend. Family was his top priority.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Karen Harris of Barstow, Ca., and Clifford and Nichole Harris of Hesperia, Ca.; one daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Deke Lott of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Correna Jane Harris, Zoey Deleon- Holmes, Zekeial Lott, Zavannah Lott, Zee Lott, Alexias Harris and Julissa Harris; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Julia and Ron Byse of Nevada, Jean and Mike Malone of Nevada; one brother, Bruce and Lisa Holmes of California.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
