Mr. Edwin T. Taylor, 64, of Tifton, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in Omega City Cemetery with Rev. Landon Alberson and Rev. Glenn Ford officiating. Strict social distancing will be followed. Masks are optional but strongly encouraged.

Pallbearers will be Danny Harrell, Rodney Glaze, Jeff Glaze, Joe Isdell, Tim Jackson and Gerald Bishop.

Mr. Taylor was born September 1, 1955 in Omega to the late Clarence Fredrick Taylor and Edgar Wilson Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Gene Taylor and three sisters, Gail Childers, Omie Lee Hutchinson and Anna Powell. Mr. Taylor was a member of Omega Methodist Church and graduate of Tift County High School. He was a State Inspector of fruits and vegetables and a truck driver. Edwin had a good sense of humor and was an extremely hard worker. He was a devoted family man and loved all his family. Edwin loved to hunt, fish and loved their dogs Missy and Sam. He was an avid fan of the GA Bulldogs.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Anita Carol Giddens Taylor of Tifton and Jeremy Little of Tifton whom he claimed as his son. Also, many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of Tift Area for their care during his illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, PO Box 747, 618 N. Central Avenue, Tifton, Ga. 31793.
