Ellen Ann Weaver Fritz

Ellen Ann Weaver Fritz, known for her vibrant personality and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community, passed away on April 30, 2024, in At Home Senior Living in Thomson, Georgia. She was born on July 4, 1957, in Tift County, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. John Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Jimmy Crawley, Tony Kirkland, III., Scott Wakeland, Jackson Wakeland, Maxwell Wakeland and Mike Delk will serve as pallbearers.
 
Ellen dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of those around her. After working at the Rural Development Center as a secretary, she decided to further her education from ABAC and Valdosta University. Her passion for teaching led her to a fulfilling career as a second and third grade teacher at Omega and Annie Belle Clark for Tift County Board of Education.
 
Ellen will be cherished for her love of the beach, pool parties with friends, and cruising in her convertible P.T. Cruiser. Her joyful spirit and role as the "Fun Aunt" brought warmth and laughter to her nieces and nephews.
 
Ellen is survived by her loving sister Lynn Crawley and brother-in-law Jimmy Crawley of Thomson, Georgia. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Tony F. Kirkland, Jr.,  of Tifton, along with many nieces and nephews who adored their Fun Aunt.
 
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald Durwood Fritz, father Lowell Edward Weaver, mother Betty Copeland Weaver, sister Gail Kirkland, and brother Larry Weaver.
 
Ellen Ann Weaver Fritz's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
