Frederick Allen Busbin

Frederick Allen Busbin, 77, of Waterloo passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018, 11:00am at Waterloo Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Entombment will follow in Waterloo Area Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Brent Davis, Jordan Weeks, Eric Fletcher, Shane Hampton, Terry Rowe and Gary Vowell will serve as pallbearers,

Mr. Busbin was born October 15, 1940 in Irwin County to Mrs. Ruth Hester Busbin and the late Benjamin Franklin Busbin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Smith Busbin who died in 2015, a daughter, Ros Anne Willis and his brother, A. D. Busbin. He was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church and had lived all his life in Irwin County. He graduated from Irwin County High School, retired from UPS and was a farmer. Mr. Busbin was a veteran with U. S. Army serving with the 101st Airborne during Vietnam War. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, having his friends together at his cabin for breakfasts and fish fry’s. He wanted to be remembered as a farmer.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Busbin is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Jeff Davis of Douglasville; three grandchildren, Jordan Weeks, Nick Houston, Brent Davis; one great grandchild and one sister-in-law, Brenda Busbin of Ocilla.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waterloo Baptist Church, 124 Waterloo Church Lane, Chula, Ga., 31733 or Hospice of Tift Area, PO Box 747, Tifton, Ga. 31793.
