George Lendon Baker

George Lendon Baker, 71, of Enigma passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. in chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Marvin Williams officiating. Eulogy will be given by Cecil Giddens. Interment will follow in Enigma Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Abel Gomez, Josh Baker, Michael Tullo, Lance Purvis, Cass Baker and John Tullo will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Baker was born September 14, 1947 in Cook County, Georgia to the late George Thomas Baker and Ethel Harper Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Mr. Baker was married to Debra Annette Suggs Baker for fifty-four years. He worked for City of Enigma as Public Works Supervisor for twenty-six years. He moved to Florida where he met his wife then returned and had lived in Enigma ever since. He was a family man and enjoyed playing softball with his children. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Baker is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Rhnea and Jay Dorsey and Myra Crozier all of Enigma; three sons, Lendon Stephen Baker, Isaac Lee Baker of Enigma and Joseph Jason Baker of Augusta; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three sister, Ethel Etta Baker and Connie Faye Mosley of Adrian and Edna Howk of Ellenwood; two brothers Willie Ray Baker of Brookfield and Eugene Baker of Lenox.
