George Russell Lowry

George Russell Lowry passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Lowry was born in the Tampa Florida area on December 5, 1938, to the late Burford Lowry and Maude Bush Lowry.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Huey Lowry, his sister Jeannie Braswell and his step brother Thomas H. Lowry.

Mr. Lowry had lived in Tifton since 2004.  He loved his family and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his son; Russell Lowry and his three daughters; Tonya Gleason, Wendy Lowry Marlow, and Sarah Lowry Hughes, his brother and sister-in-law; Louie and Rebecca Lowry, his sister; Marcie Lowry Jones and numerous grandchildren.
