Grace (Bohannon) Skidmore

Mrs. Grace Bohannon Skidmore, 97, of Tifton, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Maple Court Assisted Living Center with her son Ashley and her grand-niece Liz Fowler by her side.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM in Oakridge Cemetery with Dr. Fred Evers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Skidmore was born September 18, 1921 in Miller County to the late Clarence Decatur Bohannon and Susie Nellie Smith Bohannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Curtis Carl Skidmore who died October 7, 1998 in Mesa, Arizona, two sons Richard and Robert Skidmore, two infant babies, her granddaughter Carlyn Skidmore and three brothers. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Skidmore is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Ashley and Sheryl Skidmore of Brookline, New Hampshire and Carl and Earlyn Skidmore of Chandler, Arizona; one grandchild Joselyn Skidmore, her mother Valerie, daughter-in-law Nancy Skidmore of Mesa, Arizona and two great grandchildren Alex and Chris Skidmore.

She reared her children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Maple Court, Hospice of Tift Area and Georgia Living Senior Care sitters for their love and kindness shown to her during her final years and days.
