Harold Baron Ogletree, age 92 was a quiet and easy-going Christian man whose life was marked by deep love and devotion to his family. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home in Tifton, Georgia. He was born in Clay County, Alabama on December 20, 1933. Harold lived a life enriched by faith, commitment, and humility.
A graveside service will be held at Tift Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Norris officiating. The visitation will be held before the graveside service on Tuesday at Albritton Funeral Directors from 12:30 - 1:30 P.M.
Clay Carpenter, Wes Carpenter, Clinton Carpenter, and Randy Ogletree will serve as pallbearers.
Harold’s journey began in Alabama, where he was born to William Leonadas Ogletree and Barbara Edmiston Cole Olgetree. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as three sisters and four brothers.
Throughout his working years, Harold dedicated himself to his career as a truck driver at Tri County Gas in Tifton, Georgia for thirty – nine years. His work ethic and reliability were unmistakable, reflecting his steadfast character.
A pillar of his community, Harold was a devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church, where his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. This connection brought meaning and comfort to him and those around him.
Above all else, Harold was known for his unwavering love and eagerness to please his beloved wife, Margaret Ann Hobbs Ogletree, to whom he was married for seventy-one years. Their enduring partnership was a testament to mutual respect, devotion, and a shared life of quiet joy.
Harold is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann, his daughter Teresa “Joan” Carpenter and her husband Clinton; his grandsons William Clayton Carpenter and his wife Lauren, and John Wesley Carpenter, along with his great grandchildren Aubree Carpenter, Casey Carpenter and Nikki Carpenter.
In remembering Harold Baron Ogletree, one is reminded of a life lived with gentle dignity — a man whose faith, family, and quiet strength left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. His peaceful passing at home, with his wife by his side, completes a journey well lived and deeply treasured.
