Mr. Harry Wayne “Shug” Phagan, 74, of Brookfield passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with his daughters and wife delivering the eulogies. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Phagan was born September 24, 1947 in Berrien County to the late Robert Phagan and Tessie Dover Phagan Stinson. He was of Baptist faith and was a graduate of Berrien County High School. He formerly worked for Miller Brewing Company and Mohawk Carpet Industries in the maintenance department. Mr. Phagan loved his work, being a volunteer fireman for Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department for forty plus years, coon hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and dogs.
Mr. Phagan is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Teresa Ball Phagan of Brookfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Chris King of Baconton and Jennifer and Nick Zorotovich of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Harper Sparkman, Slade Zorotovich, Zoey Zorotovich and Rollins Zorotovich; three sisters, Evelyn Webb, JoAnn Fox and Jimmie Phagan.
