Next to her faith, Mrs. Helen’s family was very important. She and Gibbs were married 65 wonderful years and raised four children, and that was the beginning of a rich legacy filled with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1947, they spent their honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They enjoyed spending their anniversary at the same hotel in the same room that they honeymooned in for sixty years. The love these two shared was unmatched; they were truly the light in each other’s eyes! Together, they enjoyed working in their yard and cultivating beautiful hydrangea shrubs. These flowers were so big and beautiful that people driving by would stop to take pictures.
