J C Fowler,84, a faithful servant of God and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church, located at 2120 S Park Ave, Tifton, GA 31794 with Associate Pastor, Calandra Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery and immediately following there will be a repast at Mott-Littman Gym, 2425 Emerson O’Bynes Ave., Tifton, Ga. 31794. . The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Calvin Allen, Matthew Melvin Fowler, II., Akevius Fowler, Frankie Fowler, Jr., Michael Fowler, II., and JaKari Thomas will serve as pallbearers.

He was born on March 1, 1941, in Worth County, Georgia, and lived a life exemplified by strength, faith, and generosity.

As a self-employed farmer, J C took great pride in his work, embodying the virtues of dedication and hard labor. He was a man who loved the land and the simplicity of rural life, often enjoying rides through the countryside. His strong faith was the cornerstone of his existence; he was a man after God's own heart. When his health permitted J C was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Tifton, fostering spiritual growth within the community he cherished.

J C’s love for his family was monumental. He was married to his beloved wife, Myrtice Boney Fowler, for sixty-five beautiful years. Together, they nurtured a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. He is survived by his children, Michael Landy Fowler and Kimberly and Matthew Melvin Fowler and Terri. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, including Frankie Fowler, Jr., Frankeshia Fowler, Michael Fowler, II & Samaria, Gwendolyn Fowler, Hollis Fowler, Tameka Nicole Fowler, Jazmine Fowler, Akevius Fowler and Shaneka, Matthew Fowler, II and Laronda, Natalie Fowler, JaKari Thomas, Ashlyn Fowler, and Madison Fowler. He also leaves behind sixteen great-grandchildren and his sister, Betty Fowler Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Fowler; his mother, Johnny Anderson Fowler; and two beloved children, Frankie Fowler and Linda Fay Fowler, along with his siblings: Willie James Fowler, Rufus Fowler, Jr., Lilly Bell Peavy, and Sara Lee Fowler, as well as his cherished grandson, Antonio Fowler.

As we reflect on the profound impact J C had on the lives around him, let us remember his strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. He lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and those who were touched by his generosity.
