Jacqueline Tidwell Rein

Jacqueline Tidwell Rein, 85 of Tifton, affectionately known as Jackie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Tift Regional Medical Center. Ms. Rein was born to Kelly Tidwell and Ella Ferrell Tidwell on November 25, 1939, in Jasper, Alabama, as one of thirteen children. Jackie was a beloved sweet lady whose life was marked by her unwavering love for family, her vibrant personality, and her kindness toward others.

Throughout her career, Jackie thrived as a self-employed hairdresser, a profession through which she formed deep and lasting connections with her clients and her daughter Marsha who  worked with her. Jackie treasured her work, brightening the lives of many with her skill and compassion. 

Known for her warm and inviting spirit, Jackie loved to cook and entertain those she held dear. She had a particular talent for making her famous chicken and dumplings, a dish that brought joy to many family gatherings. Her great sense of humor and playful nature made her a joy to be around, and she was truly the heart of her family.

Jackie is cherished and survived by her daughters, Sharon Pollis and her husband Joe, Anne Buckley, Marcia Rein, and Susie McKay and her husband David. Jackie also leaves behind her son Fred Rein and his wife Vallie Jo, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fredrick William Rein, and her parents, Kelly Tidwell and Ella Ferrell Tidwell along with her twelve siblings..

A memorial service to honor Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at her home located at 1444 Madison Avenue, Tifton, Georgia. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her love and light.
