Jeanette (Tanner) Doles

April 15, 1929 — December 16, 2017

Jeanette Tanner Doles, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Regency Hospital – Macon, Georgia surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19th at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with the Rev. Jack Perrin officiating. Interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Aubrey Haire, Jim Holman, Danny Haire, Johnny Tawzer, Glen Griffin and Carl Harris will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Doles was born April 15, 1929 in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Thomas Newton Tanner and Eva Bledsoe Tanner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Howard Doles who died in 1972, two sons, Keith Doles who died in 1985 and Jacky Doles who died in 2016; two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Doles was the oldest member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she was very active as long as she was able and was a clerk at The Agrirama Country Store. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, she took pride in her family and home. She enjoyed crocheting doilies, working in her flower beds and loved fishing.

Mrs. Doles is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Connie and Wayne Luke of Nashville, Charlotte Cranford and Carla Doles both of Tifton; two grandchildren, Andy and Jennifer Luke of Ray City, Jennifer Daniels of Nashville; three great grandchildren, Tait Daniels, Rylee Daniels, John Luke Daniels.
