He was born on November 27, 1945, in Tift County, Georgia. He was a proud graduate of Turner County High School and built a fulfilling career as the owner of Youngblood Home Center, where he was known for his dedication to serving his community.

A devoted family man, Jerry cherished the moments spent with his wife of sixty-two years, Barbara Denby Youngblood. His love for his children, Andy and Sherri Youngblood, and Tim Youngblood was profound, as he nurtured them with kindness, laughter, and support. The joy he found in his grandchildren, Austin and Krystal Youngblood, and Ches and Rita Youngblood, as well as his great-grandchildren, Chloe Hubbell, Jackson Hubbell, Cattaleya Hidalgo, Milan Marquez, and Gemma Youngblood, was immeasurable. Jerry’s playful spirit shone brightly as he enjoyed joking with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be held close to their hearts.

Jerry had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid elk and deer hunter, relishing the time spent fishing in freshwater lakes. His love for nature extended to riding the tractor on his farm and neatly cutting the grass, where he found tranquility and joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As a faithful member of First Baptist Church of TyTy, Jerry served as a deacon and took immense pride in his earlier contributions to the church community, where he formed lasting friendships and shared his faith with others because he loved his Lord and Saviour the most.

Jerry is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Kathy Youngblood of Sycamore, Gary and Kathy Youngblood of Tifton; and sister Tammy Duffy of Tifton. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Augusta "E.A." Youngblood; mother, Bernice Corine Taylor Youngblood; and brother, Wayne Youngblood.

The legacy of Jerry Youngblood will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
