Jimmie David Middlebrooks

Mr. Jimmie David Middlebrooks, 74 of Tifton passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Middlebrooks was born May 26, 1946 to the late J W & Margaret Raper Middlebrooks. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Enigma Baptist Church. Mr. Middlebrooks was an avid fisherman, worked hard and loved his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Freida Middlebrooks of Tifton; children, Dwain Middlebrooks of Montezuma, GA, and Sharie Middlebrooks Sellars of Enigma; grandchildren, Carla Sellars, and Rena Sellars; great grandchildren, Dawson Baldree, and Aubrey Baldree; brothers, Willie Middlebrooks of Ideal, Ga, Danny (Elaine) Middlebrooks of Perry, and Larry (Rebecca) Middlebrooks of Montezuma, GA; sisters, Lillian Gresham of Byromville, GA, Barbara (Ed) Davis of Perry and Gail (Leroy) Singleton of Perry; and special friend, Byron Thompson of Montezuma. Mr. Middlebrooks was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Beavers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the  Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1090 of Adel providing the military honors.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors.
