JoAnne Easom (Bryan) Hogan

July 31, 1943 — October 7, 2022

Mrs. JoAnne Bryan Easom Hogan, 79, of Tifton, passed away Friday afternoon, October 7, 2022, at Southern Oaks Pro Care Home in Tifton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Mr. Harold Chambers officiating. JoAnne will be laid to rest at First Baptist Church of TyTy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 P.M. before the service at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Bo Johnson, Blayke Story, Devin Story, Michael Boyd, Tommy Boyd and Matthew Green will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men from the congregation of Ridge Avenue church of Christ.

JoAnne was a member of Ridge Avenue church of Christ. Before retiring, she was a nurse for many years at Tift Regional Medial Center.  She also loved to read, sew and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved going on adventures with her grands, watching Law and Order SVU, Chicago PD and The Pioneer Woman.  JoAnne enjoyed her visits with her best friend and sister, Pasty West and her sister-in-law, Betty Tyler.

Mrs. Hogan was born July 31, 1943 in Omega to the late Robert Irvin Bryan and Alice Gussie Champion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orbie Hogan, two brothers, Larry Bryan and Bobby Bryan and one sister, Penny Mims.  She was also preceded in death earlier this year by her loving son-in-law, Terry Story.

JoAnne is survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Vicki and Clint Johnson of Lithia Springs and Sonya Story of Tifton; six grandchildren, Ashley Boyd and husband Michael, Brandi Johnson, Bo Johnson and wife Michelle, Blayke Story, Devin Story and wife Brittany and Jensen Green and husband Matthew; twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Russell Bryan and wife Liz; four sisters, Patsy West and husband Winston, Cherlene Tucker, Cathy Holmes and husband Stanley and Terri Estes and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 385, Tifton, Ga. 31793.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Tiftarea and Southern Oaks Pro Care home for their loving care of JoAnne.
