Mr. John Eugene Bomgardner, 62, of Tifton, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Tifton.
The family is planning a memorial service with military honors later in the year.
Mr. Bomgardner was born January 21, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late John Bomgardner and Betty Lane Bomgardner. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a truck driver. John had lived in Tifton for twenty years where he was a truck driver and in the last couple of years had been a supervisor with Brother Charlie’s Rescue Mission. He enjoyed fishing at Paradise Lakes and going to flea markets. He had a passion for motorcycles and especially his Harley Davidson which he loved to ride. John had quite the sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He took pride in his service to his country.
Mr. Bomgardner is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tiffany and Anthony Bennett of Tifton and Cassidy and William Bartlett of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one son, Jeremiah Bomgardner of Tifton; two grandsons, Cory McGolrick and Kyle McGolrick and one sister, Vickie Purvis of Jacksonville, Florida.
