Joyce Ann Stricklen Day, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on June 21, 2025, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. She was born on October 1, 1950, in Vernon, Florida, to the late Alexander Hershel Stricklen, Jr. and Julie Ann Foster Stricklen.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Albritton Funeral Directors, located at 1020 Tift Ave N, Tifton, Georgia followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. in the chapel with Rev. Brad Baker officiating and the interment following at Tift Memorial Gardens.

Alex Pittman, Mason Roberts, Charlie McBurnett and Mack Lane will serve as pallbearers.

Joyce proudly graduated from Vernon High School and dedicated over fifteen years of her professional life as a bookkeeper at Parker Chevrolet in Ashburn, Georgia. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to her work left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community she served.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Joyce had a vibrant personality, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her flowers, shopping, and attending services at Zion Hope Baptist Church with her church family. Joyce cherished the moments spent with her immediate family and took great joy in nurturing the relationships she held with her many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is survived by her devoted husband of almost twenty-six years, Lawrence Allen Day; her daughter, Kimberly Roberts; her son, Marc Roberts; and her daughter-in-law, Jackie Roberts. She was a proud grandmother to Reilly Pittman, Alex Pittman, Madison Roberts, and Mason Roberts, and a loving great-grandmother to Paislee Grace Roberts, Leighton Lynn Stidham, and Nash Tate. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Rhonda and her brother-in-law, Glenn Gipson in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Stricklen and Sonny Stricklen.

Joyce Ann Stricklen Day will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with family and friends. Her legacy will continue to shine through the many lives she touched during her time with us.
