Mrs. Juanita Romane Flancher Kirkland, 91, formerly of Omega, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Southwell Health and Rehabilitation in Adel.
A private family funeral service will be held in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, with Rev. Billy Kirkland officiating. The interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery.
She was born on March 27, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Charles Flancher and Georgia Mae Cribb Flancher. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony F. Kirkland, Sr., her daughter, Shirley Kirkland, her two sisters and one brother. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker, who had lived in Omega most of her life. Mrs. Juanita loved children and cared for many kids in her home through the years. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She was an avid NASCAR fan who especially followed Jeff Gordon.
Mrs. Juanita is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Angela Carol and Ashley Johnson of Omega and her son and daughter-in-law, Tony Kirkland, Jr. and Gail of Ty Ty. Her grandchildren are Tony Kirkland, III and Brittany, Katherine Kirkland Wakeland, Lisa Kirkland Dailey, Ashley Lamar Johnson, Jr., Marshall Keith Johnson, Kenneth Eric Johnson and Anna. She is also survived her great-grandchildren Brent and Shelby Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, Jackson Wakeland, Maxwell Wakeland, Seanna Johnson, T.J. Oswalt and Amanda, and Carrie Toler, her great-great grandchildren, Eli Smith, Evan Smith, Alex Toler, Mackenzie Royal, Brent Johnson Jr., Tucker Johnson, three sisters Eldora O’Neal of Nashville, Gwen Kirkland of Eldorado and ValleyRae Mente of Florida and one brother and sister-in-law, Jack Flancher and Betty of Tifton.
