Julian “Duane” Weeks, 73, born on August 12, 1952, in Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on October 9, 2025, at his daughter’s residence in Nashville, Georgia. He was a beloved member of his Tifton and ABAC community and a dedicated family man who touched the lives of many.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the funeral home.

Johnny Soles, Tracey Soles, James Miley, Donnie Purvis, Guy Cravey,  and Tony Myers and will serve as pallbearers.

Duane devoted forty-two years of his career to ABAC, where he worked as a maintenance electrician. His dedication to his work mirrored his devotion to his family and friends. He graduated from Tift County High School in 1972 and became known for his warm personality; Duane was a people person who knew everyone and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone he met.

He cherished his family deeply, particularly his children Kisha and Matt Moody, and Drew and Allie Weeks. His grandchildren—Logan Rowe, Jake Moody, Josh Moody, and Aiden Weeks—held a special place in his heart, and he loved attending their games, often cheering enthusiastically for the Berrien County Rebels team.

Duane had a passion for cars and frequently attended car shows. He also enjoyed playing pool, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching westerns and sports on tv. His love for ABAC and his family exemplified the life he lived—a life filled with warmth, laughter, and community.

He took great pride in his membership at Carpenter Road Church of God, reflecting his deep commitment to his faith and his community.

Along with his children and grandchildren, Duane is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Freddie and Vickie Weeks of TyTy, as well as his sister, Linda Weeks Smith Hooker of Tifton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey D. Weeks, and his mother, Opal Elizabeth Cravey Weeks.

Julian Duane Weeks will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the unconditional love he offered to all who knew him. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless memories they shared together.
