Kathryne Ruth (Wilson) Hobbs

Kathryne “Kathy” Ruth Wilson Hobbs, 72, of Tifton passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at The Medical Center of  Navicent Health in Macon.

Born September 9, 1949 in Tift County, Kathy was the daughter of the late John A. and Junetta “Shorty” Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Ray Wilson, and her sister, Lou Anne Wilson Abell.

Throughout her life, Kathy was known for the innumerable roles in which she served within her community. Kathy worked as a pharmacy technician at Behavioral Health Services for several years before her retirement in 2008. She was a skilled seamstress, baker, homemaker, wife, mother, nana, friend, and sister in Christ. Kathy enjoyed giving her time faithfully to her church. When not with her family, Kathy was either reading a story book or tanning in the summer sunshine.

Kathy is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Jerry Hobbs; her daughter and son-in-law, Jerri Kaye and Stacy Aultman; her son and his fiancé, Wade Hobbs and Mysti Harrelson; her grandchildren, Kaycee, Sam, and John Aultman, Finn and Bella Hobbs, and Blakely Harrelson all of Tifton; her brother and sister-in-law, George “Butch” and Glenna Wilson of Orange Park, Florida; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Laurie Hobbs; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins– every one of whom she loved beyond measure.

The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, May 23 at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton. The funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 AM at Eastside Baptist Church, also in Tifton.

A private graveside interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens.
