Kenny was born in Tift County on August 25, 1952 to M.C. “Tubby” and Stene Harrison Hawkins of Omega. He was raised in Omega, and spent most of his life in Tift County. Kenny was a 1970 graduate of Tift County High School and served in the National Guard. He was married to Peggy Marchant Hawkins of Tifton for 39 years and they were members of Salem Baptist Church. Kenny loved fishing and hunting with his friends and family and he loved music.  He also loved his Lord and his family. Kenny established Hawk-Eye’s B-B-Que in 1994 and was known as Hawk-Eye to his friends. He only recently sold the restaurant. Other than his family, Hawk-Eye’s was his life. He was dedicated to serving his customers and he offered outreach to his community by helping people who were in need.

In addition to his wife and parents, Kenny is survived by two sons, Dustin Hawkins and Carey Hawkins, both of Tifton; one sister, Teresa Hawkins of Omega, one brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Nancy Hawkins of Omega and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, very special to Kenny was his Hawk Eye’s family and all his hunting and fishing buddies.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1128 Salem Church Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793.
