Linda Lee Bush Archer, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Saint Augustine, Florida. Born September 13, 1948, in Omega, Georgia, Linda brought light and kindness into the lives of all who knew her.
Linda’s journey began in the close-knit community of Omega, where she formed lifelong bonds with family and friends and developed the values that would guide her throughout her life. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her defined her years and touched all who had the privilege of sharing in her company.
She graduated from Norman Park High School. Before moving to Florida, she worked for Utilco Railroad Services and the nursing home on Newton Drive in Tifton. When she and Wayne moved to Florida to be with their daughter, Melissa, she became the business manager and bookkeeper for Grand Oaks Nursing Home for twenty plus years. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter’s horses, camping, fresh water fishing, but most of all being with her family was her favorite past time.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted daughter, Melissa Jane Archer Mosher, who was both her confidante and constant support. Linda’s life was further enriched by her grandchildren—Christi Hancock, Hannah and Michael Carlino, Matthew Mosher, and Rebekah Mosher—and she found immense joy in the presence of her great-grandchildren, Grayson and Lainey Carlino. Her family was always the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent together or talking on the phone with them.
Linda shared a unique and enduring bond with her siblings, including her sister, Shelby Jean and Tommy Griffin, and her sister-in-law, Betty Bush. They were a source of strength and companionship through life’s many seasons. Linda also cherished the memory of those who preceded her in death: her husband, Wayne Winfield Archer; her beloved son, Stan Scarbor; her parents, John Early Bush and Ruby Lavada Willis Bush; her dear sister, Sandra “Jenell” Bush Doss; and her brother, Jesse Norman Bush. The loss of her son and siblings was deeply felt, yet Linda remained a pillar of fortitude and grace for her family.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on July 24, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors, located at 1020 Tift Ave N., Tifton, Georgia. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held the following day, July 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Omega Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Omega, Georgia with Mr. Guy Haynes officiating.
Linda Lee Archer will be remembered for her warm embrace, steadfast devotion, and the lasting legacy of compassion she leaves behind. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her, and she will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
